Raffah House is a restored 1840s sandstone home in the heart of Oatlands — a peaceful village on Tasmania’s Heritage Highway.

The perfect base to explore Tasmania – From Oatlands you can reach so much of the island within about an hour: Hobart and MONA, Launceston, Richmond, the Coal Valley wineries, Freycinet’s beaches, Maria Island, Mount Field and the Highlands. Centrally located, Raffah House makes day-tripping easy — unpack once and explore in every direction.

Considered style – Renovated to combine heritage character with contemporary design, this 3-bedroom retreat offers 2 queen rooms and 1 twin, all dressed in cloud-soft French linen, plush doonas, and mattress toppers for the dreamiest sleep.

Relax & refresh – The main bathroom features a walk-in shower, double vanity, heated floors, and a deep double bath, complete with Salus body wash, conditioner, and shampoo. A second WC adds extra comfort.

Kitchen & gathering spaces – At the heart of the house, the kitchen has been thoughtfully designed for both cooking and connection. With modern appliances, generous bench space, and everything needed to prepare beautiful meals, it invites long, relaxed dinners or casual breakfasts before a day of exploring. A complimentary pantry with muesli, olive oil, salt, pepper, tea, and both pods and ground coffee is provided. Outdoors, the walled garden reveals seasonal vegetables, an alfresco dining setting for eight, a BBQ, and a fire pit for evenings beneath the stars.

Modern comforts – Enjoy high-speed WiFi, a smart TV, plus a laundry with washer, dryer, and washing powder provided.

Dog-friendly stays – We welcome dogs (with a few respectful house rules). Please bring your own dog bedding and towels, keep dogs off the furniture and beds, and clean up after them. Dogs may sleep in the laundry if they’re inclined to sneak onto sofas. An additional cleaning fee may apply if extra cleaning is required.
