A retreat for all seasons – In summer, relax on the deck with a glass in hand as yachts glide by, fish from the jetty, swim at the child-friendly beach, or wander Shell Beach just across the road. In winter, curl up by the expansive bifold windows and watch the wild weather roll across the d’Entrecasteaux Channel, cocooned in comfort.
Designed to capture the sea – From the moment you arrive, soaring cathedral ceilings draw your gaze through the light-filled living area to the panoramic views framed by the bifold doors that open onto the deck.
Restful sleeps – The Boathouse accommodates 4 guests across two bedrooms: one queen, and one king (or twin singles on request). Beds are dressed in French flax linen, cotton sheets, and mattress toppers, ensuring deep and dreamy rest. Built-in robes keep belongings neatly tucked away.
Simple comfort – The bathroom is understated yet indulgent, featuring Salus body wash, shampoo, and conditioner to revive and refresh.
A kitchen for easy feasting – Cook with ease thanks to a Smeg oven, cooktop, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and Nespresso machine. A complimentary pantry of muesli, pasta, olive oil, teas, sugar, and both pods and ground coffee is provided. Essentials can be stocked in Hobart before arrival, or picked up from the well-stocked general store at Adventure Bay, 20 minutes away.
Curated interiors – Every element has been thoughtfully chosen: natural timbers, soft linens, textured fabrics, and local artwork create a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with quiet sophistication.
Outdoors & starry nights – As the day fades, gather around the fire pit and watch the flames dance while the kids toast marshmallows. For something truly memorable, sink into the outdoor bath with your complimentary bottle of Bellebonne sparkling rosé in hand, and let the night sky unfurl above you in a canopy of stars.
Family-friendly touches – With our own little ones, we’ve made travel easier: a port-a-cot, high chair, and the option to split the king bed into singles are all available at no extra cost.
Bruny Island rewards those who take their time. Whether your days are filled with tastings, coastal hikes, or simply slowing down by the water, the Boathouse is your front-row seat to island life at its most beautiful.
